67,000 photographs

There are about 67,000 photos from the local history of Voss in our collections. These are photographs taken by most of the photographers who have been active in Voss.

A large part of them are from the time after World War II.  In 2014, Voss Folk Museum acquired the photography shop Herheim foto’s archive, which contained photographs from over 55,000 assignments. This archive contains photographs taken by Gjøstein foto 1945–1956, and by Herheim foto 1956–2014.

But you wil also find a selection of far older photographs.
